Our Friends Russia – Putin to the Rescue!
Putin has come to the rescue of the dysfunctional US, CIA / Military / POTUS miscreant actions in Syria. By making a deal for Chemical Weapons, He might have saved the US from making the big mistake of getting into another Middle East war. We will see how that all turns out.
To learn more about how Putin has helped the United States read – BARVIKHA, Russia A Luxurious Haven For Tyrants, Deposed Leaders, Terrorists, Dictators – The Possible Next Home for Bashar al-Assad! by Dr. Steve Pieczenick.
This isn’t the first time Russia has helped the United States. World War II notwithstanding, there is another time that seems to have been left out of our history lessons, at least I never heard of it before.
If it wasn’t for Russia, the south may have won the Civil War! Who would have thunk it.
“As we mark the sesquicentennial of the Civil War, commemorations of the mid-point year of that terrible conflict in 1863 are dominated by much-studied battles like Gettysburg, Vicksburg, and Chickamauga. Often forgotten are events of perhaps even greater strategic importance.”
Russian Baltic Fleet Arrives in New York City
150 years ago on September 24, 1823, the midpoint of the American Civil War, the Russian frigate Osliabia, under the command of Captain Bourtakoff, steamed into New York Harbor. The city authorities gave it the customary cordial welcome accorded to a man-of-war of a friendly nation paying a visit
A few days later on October 12, the Atlantic Russian cruiser squadron commanded by Real Admiral Lessofsky, and consisting of the frigates Alexander Nevsky, flagship Peresvet, the corvets Variag and Vitiaz, and the clipper Almaz, cast anchor in New York Bay.
About the same time, the Pacific squadron, commanded by rear admiral A.A. Popov – corvettes Bogatyr, Kalevala, Rynda, Novik, clippers Abrek and Gaidamak, sailed into the San Francisco Bay.
Russia Was On Lincolns Side
“This American expedition became a military demonstration by Russia during the U.S. Civil War. England and France advocated for the southern rebels. Russia held a friendly position in respect to the federal government in the North. It increased hostility toward Russia on the part of England and France, which strove for loosening its international influence.
The Russian government decided to send these two ship squadrons to the US to demonstrate support for the northerners, as well as to create a potential threat to marine communications of England and France in order to make them refuse assistance to the South States.” Research provided by BLITZ – Information Center.
“The two Russian admirals carried secret sealed orders they were instructed to open only if Great Britain and France declared war on Russia and/or the United States.
Any aggression by London and Paris against the Union in support of the Confederacy would have caused the Russian Empire to enter the war on the side of Lincoln.
If war had come, the secret orders told the Russian admirals to cooperate with the Union Navy in attacking Anglo-French commerce on the high seas, in the manner of the highly successful Confederate raiders like the Alabama.
Napoleon III of France and Lord John Russell, Lord Palmerston, and William Gladstone of Britain had been threatening to intervene in favor of the Confederacy since 1861.
They were deterred by the pro-Lincoln policy of the Imperial Court of St. Petersburg.
With the arrival of the Russian fleets, consternation in London, Paris, and their partner Madrid was great.
In the North, still traumatized by losses at Gettysburg and Chickamauga, and by the New York City draft riots, the Russian fleets were a decisive morale booster.
When a Confederate warship was feared to be approaching San Francisco, the Russian admiral cleared for action and prepared to defend the port.
Russia was the only country to extend direct military support to the Lincoln government.”
Mohammed Ali Saves The Union!
“Cassius Marcellus Clay of Kentucky, a cousin of the Great Compromiser who was Lincoln’s Ambassador to Russia, later claimed that he had done more than any person to save the Union by obtaining Russian help to keep the British and French out of the war.
Secretary of the Navy Gideon Welles summed up much Northern opinion when he observed, “God bless the Russians!” However, later, Anglophilia and the Cold War helped obscure these decisive facts.”

So there is a little history lesson for you all. Hope you enjoyed it and every time you think about the civil war, you will now know that there could have been a much different outcome. Thanks to the Russians, America is the UNITED STATES of AMERICA.
